If I were to buy a used cluster with a different mileage, would I have to reset the mileage on it? Or is the mileage stored somewhere else? I don't want to get in trouble for having a different set mileage if I were to sell it. Thanks

The cluster only displays the data sent t it from the engine computer. If I take your computer monitor and attach it to a different computer your data doesn't go with it!

It is stored in both. The mileage will display whatever was last stored in the cluster itself.
