Grand Am 2002, 118,000 miles. The car's ac went out on settings 1-3, only works if its on 4 or 5. Has a hard time getting past even 10-20 mph sometimes and jumps like someone is pressing the gas then brakes over and over again. No matter how much gas is pushed down will just sit around 15 mph. RPM's go up to around 2500. Sometimes takes me about 20 seconds to even get to 15 mph and won't go above that, sometimes it will work semi normally and i can get up to 40, then kicks back and I can't go any faster.

Any Ideas?

from what i gathered you have 2 seperate concerns is that right? first off the blower not working on 1-3 and only on 4-5. best guess would be the blower motor resistor. fairly cheap less than 50bucks.

second concern maybe a plugged catalytic converter.

this will make it feel very under powered and make it not want to get up and go at all.
