2002 Pontiac Montana

My 2002Pontiac Montana only starts when it's above freezing outside. I just bought this vehicle two weeks ago.
Someone said it was the starter so I installed it today but still no start.
Please help

When you say start do you mean that it will or will not crank below freezing? If you get a good crank below freezing then the battery/starter is working fine and the problem is somewhere else but if it won't crank then I would take the battery to a local auto parts and have them load test it.
