Hi all,
Ron here and have a problem. I recently "acquired" a 2002 Sunfire SE 2.2. The car runs and drive great, but.... when I go to fill it up, it seems as if there's a pressure issue with the tank. After starting to gas up, it shuts off after about 5 seconds and after that, you can only put gas in it at the barely flowing rate from the gas hose. It takes me about 10 minutes to put 12 gals in it...VERY frustrating. I have noticed the all to familiar sound of the gas coming up the filler neck before shutting off...like there's an air bubble preventing the gas from flowing faster. Thoughts / suggestion on causes or known issues with these cars?
