Hello. I just purchased a 2002 Transam WS6 with a ZR6 Zone Show Vehicle designation. Its a yellow Convertible 6 speed. What does the ZR6 Zone show Vehicle mean? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

I found this on another site pertaining to Chevrolet

It appears to be a rare RPO code and somewhat difficult to find a detailed description of. A Corvette site had an answer as a reference for F-bodies and vettes, and a couple others said that it meant "GM Show Vehicle", something about it being a factory ordered show car that they would take to the big venues.

Another site had a ZR6 as a coded show car that most of the time were used for "car shows" like the one in Detroit, Chicago, NY, and Cleveland. They were built for the shows, shipped to the dealer nearest the venue and then used in the show. After the show, according to the Cleveland entry, the cars were distributed to dealers around the venue area who signed up to get a vehicle used in the show. These cars often get another discount from several hundred dollars to a few thousand.
