I have a 2002 WS6 Trans Am that I bought brand new. I've had trouble with my lights before, but the car was under warranty. I dont have the money to get this problem fixed and I know nothing about cars. BUT- I would like to try to fix it myself.
The main problem I'm having right now is I have NO turn signals. Both turn signals went out within a week of eachother. I put new bulbs in and they worked fine for about a week. Then they just completely stopped working. The sockets that hold the bulbs looked really dirty but I put the bulbs in anyway. (Could this be it???)
I also have a fog light out and as I was trying to take the old light out- it lit up! I moved it around a little and it kept going on and off. I think there might be a short with the fog light so I just left it alone.
THEN- Last night my driverside lowbeam burned out. (I just changed it a month ago). I pulled over and checked out the light and the socket where the light plugs in to was sparking. The socket looks really fried and dirty.
I have NO idea what's wrong, how to fix this, or even if it is simple enough for me to try to fix it. Could this be an electrical problem? Is there a short? Are all of the lights somehow connected and there is one bad wire causing all the trouble? Is anyone else having these troubles? Help!!!
