2003 Grand Am GT Keyless Entry Programming

Do I have to take my car to a dealership or is there a way I can do this at home? I've gotten many mixed answers.

According to your owners manual the dealer has to do it. According to this site
http://www.keylessride.com/order/qu...&remoteyear=2003&model=Grand+Am&frid=922AE43D a dealer or equipped locksmith has to do it. In either case it doesnt appear to be a do it yourself because I think you need a Tech 2 scanner and access to GM's database.
