So after having a pretty crappy Easter today (Seeing as my car died on me), I did alot of research on this problem and fixed mine. Never posted in here but I really hope my solution fixes yours.
I am no car guy so forgive some rough language.
I have a 2003 Grand AM GT with approx. 98,000 miles on it I bought used about a month ago. I have no problems until today.
Went to my girlfriends house. Went inside for Easter lunch. Came out to leave and the car wouldn't turn over.
Here was my solution:
1. Turned off everything in the car.
2. Popped the hood and had another car jumped to mine. Had the second car running while mine was off.
3. "Started" my car and left the key in the ON position. The security light flashed for exactly ten minutes, after that it went solid.
4. Turned the key off and started it with success.
I jumped it because I did not want the battery to die and thought that was the issue.
I read that this is a common problem and have something to do with the security system.
I know this is quick and rough language and am willing to answer any questions.
I assume this will help no one but I hope it helps someone.
