2003 Grand Am Wiper motor

My wife has a 2003 Grand Am and the right side wiper has stopped working. Is there anything that could be causing this other than the motor not working? The left side wiper is working fine. Is the wiper motor difficult to change? I am not a very experienced mechanic, but I have worked on the car before, most recently changing the alternator and a turn signal blinker switch.

If the motor was bad both wipers would not work. It is more likely either something is loose in the linkage or broke.
