blower fan does not turn on at all no matter what position the switch is in 0-1-2-3-4-5 :(
checked fuses (all good)
is this a bad blower motor resistor??
Please help we need our heater as it is getting cold here in northern canada
Thanks

Delco 15-80552 Blower Motor Resistor ??

does anyone know if it is available as an after market part from NAPA or do i need to go to the dealer?

You need to verify if there is 12 volts at the motor. If there is, it's probably the motor. If not it could be the switch or resistor

I usually see the fan motor only working on 2 or 3 speeds to be a bad resistor . And yes there are after market products out there. But as the previous post said to check voltage to be sure.

actually i have recently discovered that the blower switch on the dash is not turning at all.
is this a common problem?
i am trying to remove the control unit to see if i can remedy the situation but am having difficulty removing the accessory bezel or trim piece it is stick at the bottom seemingly on the passengers side near the glove box door

i've found out how!

Hi this may help, my fan motor switch first stopped working on setting 1 then 2 and so on till now only 5 is working.
It is a you-tube video on how to fix a faulty switch on a Chevy Malibu but it looks like the same as the cluster on my 2002 Montana just different knobs.
I am going to try this this weekend will let you know if it works.
