i was driving my car the other day and the car kind of backfired or jerked, and when i hit the accelerator again it was as if the car was in neutral. It now will only go in reverse and not forward. i got a friend to tow me back home, but now im just trying to figure whats wrong with it so i can get parts to have a friend fix it instead of going someplace where they'll charge me alot, and screw me over. any ideas of what it could be?
