2003 Stereo Install

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. I've got a friend of mine with a 2003 Sunfire and wants a stereo installed. I'm reading that the factory stereo harness is some how tied into the safety/warning sounds as well as the dome light system. I've been looking around online and finding different answers on where to get the harness and part number.

Also can someone confirm the size of the speakers? Again I'm hearing a lot of different answers online. Never had so many issues finding answers on one vehicle.

you WILL need that harness if you want the warning beep to work. i hooked mine up without the harness, and all i lost was the warning beep. dome light and everything still work fine. the harness can be found at wal-mart with the amp wiring kits

in terms of speaker size, they may have changed it from 2000 to 2003, and also being that mines a gt, i had 5x7's in the rear, and 4x6's in the front doors
