2004 Bonne SLE stalls going from drive to reverse

I have a 2004 Bonneville sle that after driving a good distance, if I stop and go into reverse from drive, the rpm's drop and the motor stalls. I put it back in to drive and starts back up. Anyone ever had that problem and could opinion on what it might be? I have replaced the MAF sensor.

do you have a check engine light on? have you cleaned the throttle body and IAC?

no check engine light on. have had the throttle body cleaned and changed maf, but will suggest IAC to them. Thanks

can they duplicate the problem in the shop and can they run a diagnostic to see if there are codes when it stalls? Can they check if the torque convertor is locking when you go into reverse?

Thanks Mel. I Had them drive it with me the other day and it didn't stall, just jumped on the rpm's. So have another appointment Friday and will suggest your ideas on both and let you know. Thanks for the suggestions. Frustrating because this car only has 34, 800 original miles on it.
