Hi Guys,
Hoping someone on here can help me out. I have an 04 Montana (love the van) but I had an issue where I could hear the pump activating without an ABS activation so I knew I had a broken wire. Threw a code the next week for pass side short to ground. Found the first brake in the harness at the lower control arm - no big deal is a flex point. Here is my problem - purchased a replacement jumper harness and the wiring diagram I downloaded shows that there should be a connector on the back side of the RH engine splash shield where the jumper connects to the engine wiring harness (makes since as the harness has connectors on both sides). It is not there, in my van the harness for the front Wheel Speed Sensors appear to be hardwired from the EBTCM to the Wheel Speed Sensor. Also have checked the ABS harness to the EBTCM and CANNOT find any splices where this may have been replaced (doing this because even after installing replacement harness still getting activation). Here is what I am looking at: the 2002-2003 models of the Montana have a different engine wiring harness than the 2004. Wanting to see if any one has an 04 Montana and has the connector on their vehicle. I am asking because it may make a difference in how i repair it. If I am looking at the possibility that I have missed a splice I want to see if that is where my loss on continuity is at, otherwise I am likely going to replace the engine harness because that means I have a gremlin and by the time i pull the harness apary to locate my break I am going to break several other things in the process and continue to chase problems for the rest of my life. Any help would be great and a pick of the passenger side ABS harness routing and connector(if it actually exists on the 04) would be even better
