2004 montana ac problem

ac seems to work intermittent, if temp control is played with you can get it to come on but not as cool as you would like.I'm thinking blend door problem as had trouble with heater coming on heat in past and did same thing with temp.control to bring it on. The actuator seems to be functioning correctly when I got down under and checked. I just don't know how to get to the blend door. If anyone could help me with instructions or pictures or other possible solutions. Thank you I'm a newbee.

Isnt the actuator that you saw under the dash directly connected to the blend door?

Thanks for responding melsg5. Yes I believe it is connected. there are linkage arms from the actuator to something which I can't see. Was hoping someone else may have already done this or has some knowledge of it. Any help would be good before I jump in and start pulling things apart.
