...Gas Mileage? I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztek FWD, 62,000 miles. I ran out of gas yesterday, filled up, and now all of the sudden I'm getting terrible mileage. What could be wrong or what do I need to replace? I assuming having run out of gas had something to do with it.

Yea that happened to me before what most likely happened is that when you ran out of gas your gas filter took in alot of dirt and that is really bad makes you waste gas faster. Also have you checked your air filter that could also be the reason I recommended changing both at the same time. Gas filter is around 10-30 dollars and the air filter is around 8-10 dollars its really cheap to install both if you know how if not your gas filter will be around 50-80 dollars thats if its not in the gas tank if its the gas tank that will be couple hundred. Air filter is like 20 to install. Take into a jiffy lube they will charge around 50 to install the gas filter if they have it. Also buy your air filter at like a auto zone for 8-10 bucks and take it to jiffy lube they'll install it for free.

Check your gas cap. Fuel evaporates at an unbelieveable rate if it's exposed to ambient air. It should be a temporary condition anyways. Besides, you drive a rolling brick....are you really that worried about mileage in that thing?
