The Monsoon system in any GM car is not just the radio, but also a different wiring harness and an amplifier mounted in the trunk, usually on the driver side behind the trunk carpet. It also has different front speakers, with 3/4" tweeters in the door pods, behind the review mirrors. Installing this into a non-Monsoon equipped car would not be worth it. Go aftermarket, using a GM radio converter (so you don't lose the door chimes and radio delay) with you choice of radio. Or go with a RF modulator for your mp3 player. (Use the one that installs in-line with the factory antenna, you get better sound reception).
