2004 reverse lights don't work

Fuse is good. Bulbs are good. Reverse lights not operational. It's an automatic transmission. Does that point toward the neutral safety switch found on top of the transaxle under the plate holding the brake line junction in place?

that would appear to be the problem unless there is a broken wire somewhere
