Hoping someone might be able to help me out with some first hand experience. I have an 04 sunfire and need to replace the fenders. I found some decent fenders at a junk yard near me but I have a question. My sunfire has the additional ground effect package (not sure what else to call it). The fenders at the junkyard have only the little horizontal strip on the fender. Yes, I know that wasn't too clear but hopefully someone knows what the heck I'm talking about. Anyways, the question is whether or not the holes that are drilled for the little horizontal strip are the same holes that would be used for the upgraded effects package. It would make sense that they are but does anyone have any experience with this.

have you removed the old fender so that you can see the holes in it? Seems like all you would have to do is measure their location or take the old fender with you to the junk yard. Are the ground effect parts factory or aftermarket that would also make a difference.

The ground effects are factory. I took another look at it and it looks like I will need to drill new holes. Two per fender. Looks like there is a little wiggle room so they don't have to be "exact", just extremely close.
