2004 to 2002 Engine Swap

I am trying to put a 04 Chevy Venture 3.4L in my 02 Montana. I need to know what has to be changed to make it work. I know they up dated the 04 engine. Will the Cam and Crankshaft sensors work? Do I need to change out the intake manifold? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, changed engines. Used the intake, injection, sensors off of my 2002. New intake gaskets Started and ran for 15 seconds, died and won't start. Has spark, 53 lbs fuel pressure on rail. Checked voltage to cps and cam sensor only has 5 volts Should be 12. Any thoughts..

did you get the ecm for the new motor? is the security light on?

Yes we did get ECM from the 2004 venture, but we used the wiring harness, sensors, and ECM from my 2002 Montana.

The small red light on top of the dash is blinking. I don't know if it show up in the info center display....checking on it

Yes it was on.

the computer doesnt recognize the key, Read around page 2-40

Same keys I have had. Do you know if the security stops just the fuel? How do we find out? Will try the other key.
