In June 2014 at the beginning of a trip the check engine light came on. After returning and getting the time I was told it was running to lean and had the fuel injectors cleaned. Light came back on, now it was an O2 sensor. Had that replaced and ran fine for about 4 days and the light came back on. I'm told that there's now a P0420 code for the catalytic converter.

Does this seem right?

Hi !
At first make a visual inspection . Visually inspect the exhaust system for leaks, check the catalytic converter for dents , holes, severe discoloration , and check for a rattle inside. If any of those symptoms are there , the converter likely needs replacement . Then , visually inspect the downstream O2 sensor (behind the converter) . Check for broken wires, connector , obvious faults, etc. (see pictures)
