I have a 2005 Grand Am v6 SE and just recently it wouldn't start in the morning, but when I get home from work it starts right up.
Recently, it has not started at all, maybe once or twice a week.
So I did the following:
Checked the fuel pump. Ok
Checked the starter. Ok
Security bypassed. Still no start.
Installed a new ignition switch and lock cylinder.
After the ignition switch and lock cylinder replacement, the car would start if I held the key in the start position. Then I had to turn the key from start to on position numerous times until it would start.
I don't know what is wrong with this car, any suggestions would help.
