If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hey guys- I just purchased a 2005 grand am with 96k miles. Looks clean and just got inspected. They replaced front control arms.

What am I looking at for regular maintenance on this thing? Any preferred oil type/brand?

I'm coming from a VW Passat where everything I did to it seemed to make the car computer go bizerk and hopefully these cars are a little less finicky.

Any major recalls or problems to look for? It's my daily driver to work which is only about 3 miles.

Thanks in advance!
Matt
