I'm having trouble, with the AC/Heater, it is my understanding from a machinic, that there is a sliding (swinging door)
under the Climate Controls. He stated that the door needs replacement, and he didn't want to do it, because the whole
column under the controls has to be removed. And he didn't want to get into it. Has anybody had this same problem?
And can it be a DIYS fix?

Strange that a mechanic doesn't want to do a job.

I agree that it is strange not to want the job. I went to a second Automotive garage. Same story, it's a very difficult
job. Requires taking out the dashboard etc. And tie up a Bay for a day. There was a new actuator put in in May 2022.
Thanks for your help.

Did you watch the video. If that's the same one seemed easy to change.

Yes, the video was how to replace actuator. My problem is the blend door is not closing or opening
and according to the 2 mechanics', additional removal of the dash is required to get to the Blend door.

The actuator is what moves the blend door.

Yes, the actuator has been replaced. I was told the Blend door is broken off the hinge. And needs to be replaced.

In that case finding the door and installing it is more involved.
