2005 Sunfire misfire

Hello. I have a a 2005 and I had a misfire so I changed the spark plugs as they were pretty worn. Now, the car runs a little better but I am randomly getting the misfire code again and the spark plugs smell like gas where the other ones didn't. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you not sure if I have another problem or maybe bad plugs.

exactly what is the code?
have you checked if the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line has gasoline in it, if so replace the regulator.
how many miles on the engine?
does the front of the engine make any unusual noises, clattering?
