Brakes and wheel bearings were replaced in the last two years with NAPA premium parts. Also center bearing was replaced. I have a recording.

browser, chrome, does not support that audio file.
having someone diagnosis a sound over the internet is difficult.
does it change when you are braking or going through a turn?

hope this one works.

I hear a chirp but again hearing it doesnt indicate what it is.
I asked if it changes going through a turn or while braking?
If you put the rear frame on jack stands can you duplicate the chirp with the rear wheels spinning?

The sound is random. Braking or turning sometimes changes the sound. I took my neighbor for a ride (A mechanic for 50 years) and his best guess was possibly needle bearings in a U-joint. The car rarely goes on long trips so he suggested taking a long trip to increase lubrication. No change. I was hoping someone here has had a similar sound and could help. I have had the whole vehicle on jack stands and put it in drive spinning all the wheels and no sound. I guess it required a load to become active.

Did you closely look at each arm of the u-joints for signs of rust indicating failed needles

At first opportunity I will follow your advice, thanks.

OK so finally got under it and took pictures. Sound is still random, back U-joint has the most rust build-up. I think the front U-joint was changed with the carrier bearing about 5 year ago. Any help would be appreciated!Front U-Joint.jpgFront U-Joint2.jpgFront U-Joint3.jpgRear U-Joint.jpgRear U-Joint2.jpg

They mostly look the same, no red dust on any of them. You can try changing them or wait till the sound is constantly there.

OK, thanks for your help. I was told that when the caps show rust it can creep into the bearings. I guess I'll continue driving it until I can't stand the noise anymore.

Well the adventure continues, replaced the rear U-Joint and the chirping continues.

I recently developed a rattle in the front end. With the help of my neighbor we rocked the vehicle while one of us was underneath feeling around for the noise. I changed both sway bar links and the rattle is gone. Chirping continues.
