We have a 07 Montana that intermittently shudders when accelerating from a stop and only from a stop. Does it a couple times a day MAYBE some days it does nothing. We have been told its 100 different things....Possible transmission although its been to three shops and none have been to pin point a problem although every time a mechanic drives it of course it doesn't happen. Motor mount was replaced... not the issue.

The ABS/Service traction control light are on because it needs a new bearing. have been told that may be the problem because the ABS is malfunctioning.

What is the actual problem....Why does it only sometimes happen. once it shudders and its on the road it drives fine.

do you have a check engine light on?
nobody is going to be able to pinpoint the problem if it only happens occasionally
the ABS system becomes disabled when the ABS light is on so it is not causing the problem
does it only happen when you are low on gasoline?

no check engine light and it doesn't seem to matter what the fuel level is

intermittent shuddering accelerating from stop

Same problem with our 07 Montana. Has happened ever since we purchased in 09. Seems more likely to happen after the vehicle's been driven for a while, say more than 30 min, and with harder acceleration. If I baby it from stop, doesn't seem to happen. I'd love to know what's going on too.

Has the problem occurred regardless of how old the tires are? I assume you don't have the same tires from 2009?
