I have a 2007 Pontiac torrent that I've had for 8 years. Within the last year I've been having trouble with the key getting stuck in the ignition. After several seconds and several jiggles I've always been able to get it out. Well this morning the key would barely go into the ignition yet I could still start it and drive it. This is the first time I've had this problem. Is this going to be an easy fix or will it need to be replaced?

From your description it sounds like it is time for a new ignition lock cylinder. Find an automotive locksmith and they should be able to help you and retain the same key. If none are in your area you will have to find a local repair shop. A dealer could also do it but typically they have higher labor rates.
