2008 Pontiac Torrent help!

So I just got a pontiac torrent as a gift from my parents and I wanted to put my old system in it.

I just had a couple questions.

Does anyone here have one where they put in a system and if so how did you go about taking apart the deck to get to the back of it.

Also were there rca connectors in the back or do I need a converter?

I also have a 08 torrent and have successfully moved my Clarion CX505 over from my previous 06 Equinox. There's a great tool on the Crutchfield site to help determine what adapters you will need. There was NOTHING in common between my 06 base model Equinox and the Torrent. Since the Torrent has steering wheel controls and OnStar you'll need two adapter packages and an antenna adapter as well. One for translating steering wheel controls (if your system was so equipped) and one for retaining the chimes and OnStar speaker (it comes with a little speaker for you to hide somewhere under the dash so that you can still hear the warning chimes when the engine overheats!) I highly recommend Crutchfield.com because they will generate a complete set of install and removal instructions complete with software for programming the steering wheel control buttons.
