2008 Torrent performed head job now it sounds like it's out of time.

Just purchased and it was running hot. After several less expensive attempts to remedy the issue, performed a head job and now itsounds as if it's out of time. ANy suggestions?

Who did the head job you or a shop?
Two engines in 2008, 3.4 and 3.6, did you mix up the plug wires?
Were the heads checked by a machine shop?
Did you do a compression test before and after the work?
