2009 pontiac starting problems

Is anyone else having starting issuess? When i start it it doesnt even try to turn over it just starts clicking and the door locks start clicking on and off and the horn goes on and off. The lights are bright and the radio comes on .some days it works. some days not. Boosting does not help right away.

you need to check your battery connections to see if they are tight and clean. If the problem continues, you need to have the battery load tested and the charging system tested.

I had a similar problem, battery always tested good and I would replace the starter and the van would work and then maybe a week later, no go again. Turns out that the battery cable(going from the battery to the starter) had a short. I replaced that cable and never had a problem since. The only reason I think it started after I put the new starter(s) in was that I must have moved that cable enough to make good contact again, making me believe it was a bad starter
