2009 SV6 Cooling fan Always on

This van has been quirky at best for me during the winter months.

Today, for the past three days the radiator fans have been on full blast every time the engine is on. Actually about 5 mins of warmup time then they turn on.

I ask for assistance in troubleshooting the cooling system. From what have read so far it seems that it may be a relay issue.

Unfortunately you may have to plug into the computer to set what the parameters are and what's calling for it to come on. I assume the coolant level is fine and she blows good heat?

I have a 2007 montana and this fan always on just started the other day when it was minus 35 C I don't quite understand when you say plug in to computer. Do you mean the code meter you can buy to see what is wrong. Sorry I haven't had enough coffee yet

Coffee, it's was 8 o'clock at night when you posted lol. Yes a code reader or even go to dealership to read it , the computer/bcm can talk to the code reader/computer and you can see what is calling for the fans to come on. Now if your savey enough and can find the relay for the fans perhaps you can swap out like for like relays, that would see if the original relay is stuck on.
