what are so mods i can do to my 3.4 to push some power?
im going with a cam from crane cams.
a custom CAI.
port and polish intake and heads.
full exhaust with cat delete.
bigger throtttle body.
but is there any other mods people have done besides a turbo?
i think with my setup. the only other thing i can do is a turbo?
any help is appreciated.

Crane H272 cam
Comp Cams 1.52 roller tipped rockers
Port and polish heads
Shave heads .010 (raises compression)
Trueleo intake and headers
60 or 62mm throttle body.

The Fiero come from the factory with a CAI already. To remove that and install one of the chrome tube with a cone filter is actually making a hot air intake.

i know they came with a factory CAI. but im replacing the "water tube" with plastic flex pipe and the factory filter box with a smaller one to clean up the look. and im not going with the trueleo intake because im porting and polishing the factory intake and intake plenium. but thanks for the help. i actually just found out that the engine im getting already has the crane cam in it. so im just going to go over the motor to make sure everything is correct and in good shape.

Which Crane Cam is in the motor? This makes a difference. some of the smaller crane cams will actually create less power.

Porting and polishing the factory intake is a waste. The factory intake has a max flow of around 320cfm when ported and polished. (only 300cfm in stock form) With the heads stock a 3.4L flows around 350cfm and with heads ported/polished it flows around 370cfm. This means the factory intake becomes a restriction once you get up in the RPM's. You will notice around 4200-4500 RPM the motor will fall on it's face for power. Since the engine if built right can make power well over 5500 RPM you basically are losing 20-25% of the power using the Fiero intake set-up.

h272 i believe. and hmm... thanks for bit of advice on port and polish... i will look into the other intakes.

The only aftermarket ones available is the Trueleo for fuel injected engines and Edelbrock for carburated engines. Factory intakes other than the Fiero will not fit due to the distributor. There are no other intakes that will work on the 3.4L in a Fiero unless of course you make your own.

okay well than i guess ill be loooking into the trueleo. thanks.
