i have a 69 lemans custom s with a 350 2 barrel 2spd power glide living in nassau county NY.... im looking for a pontiac 4 barrel carb 600 cfm with vacuum secondarys... if any one has one or possibly a sutiable substatue let me kno or even any sugestions

I have a 72 Lemans with a 350 2bbl that I'm converting to a 4bbl. I got a Quadrajet for free from a friend. I contacted Cliff Ruggles http://www.cliffshighperformance.com/ and got a rebuild kit and electric choke conversion. Can't wait to get it on the car. You can buy a used Quadrajet cheap and rebuild it to suit your needs. I spent $150 for all the parts for it.

Ok thank you also looking for a diffrent tranny... Not sure which to go with and a gto hood and judge trunk and spoiler

Yes good idea to get rid of that 2 speed. You should be able to find a used th350 transmission pretty cheap, maybe a couple hundred $$. Make sure it has a Buick Olds Pontiac bolt pattern.
PS - How's Nassau these days? I was born and raised in Westbury. Living in Pennsylvania now.

Right now its real cold lol but its nice gas is 3.60 a gallon in levittown

Maybe a stupid question on my part but do both of you realize you need a 4bbl intake manifold either Ponitac or aftermarket, I see no mention of that above?

If you have a stock Pontiac 4 BBl manifold, the primary side is smaller than the secondary side, you can either use a Quadrajet or a Holley Spreadbore. The Holley has two different types, a double pumper or a vacuum secondary. For a street vehicle the vacuum secondary is the one to use.

For a transmission I would look into a 200R4 or 700R4. That will give you the advantage of overdrive. You just need a BOP bolt pattern

In regards to the tranny swap, I was looking at a 700-4r or 200-4r but a shop said it is a lot of money to swap because they have electronic sensors that need need to be hooked up to the engine so they function properly. I am gonna stick to my th350.

The 700r and probably the 200r are not electronicly controled. You need a tv cable and a switch for the lock up. There is also a vacuum lock up switch if you go that route.
