Did Pontiac use cooling fan shrouds on 62 models?

So far all I found was on midsize cars they did not start until 1965.

I've had two 62 Catalinas, one when I was twenty and one now. Can't remember if the first had one but the one now does not.I looked at 62 Impalas and they have the schrod. I'm about to ad air conditioning and this was brought to my attention.

Ok, so you did buy one recently?
It would be a good thing to add foam insulation between the radiator and the radiator support to make sure all the air goes through the radiator.
The other thing I read was the midsize cars that did start getting shrouds from the factory were GTOs with AC. The non-AC cars started having a lot of running hot complaints. So the factory came out with a dealer installed shroud. Scroll down in the link below for the section on shrouds.
