Hi, we are putting a 63 LeMans convertible back together that has been apart for 10 years. We have a parking brake rod that we can't seem to figure out how it goes in. None of our manuals or google searches have turned up any info. Does anybody here have one that could shed some light ? It would be appreciated.

I looked high & low and did not come up with a thing!

Never saw anything that resembled that. Is that a cover for the steering column I saw in the picture?

The bronze piece is the bottom of the steering column, I should have cropped that out of the picture. It appears I also need to enable email notifications when I get replies to this thread. Dad and I did tag and bag the parts, but we have forgotten where that rod goes. It's purpose has to be to put tension on the parking brake pedal somehow. Thanks for the effort guys, I appreciate it.

Any chance that is part of the parking brake cable linkage under the car?

That's a good question. I'll have to take a look. We have the cable run from the parking brake assembly back to the rear brakes, not sure how it would tie in, but i guess it's possible. Thanks for the idea!
