68 Lemans Ball joint issue

I am attempting to replace the ball joints in my 68 Lemans. I Pressed in the lower ball joint and it can easily be pushed back out by hand. Does anyone have any advise on how to fix this issue? Or does anyone one know if there is a difference in brands as far as the size the measure out at with a caliper out at? I am just really frustrated and any advise would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

how did you remove the old one?
what brand and part number are you trying to install?

I pressed it out and I am just using the Oreilly's brand or I think the call it Parts Master or something like that. as far as part number I don't have that with me right now. Do they differ in size by brand?

they shouldn't differ but was trying to determine if the control arm could have been damaged when the old one was removed or if they supplied you with the wrong one. Does the old one just push in and out by hand at this point?

I just went and bought a Moog brand and it worked perfect. Lesson learned.

wonder if the first one was a made in China part?
