72 Lemans pics

Right now I just wanna get it running. Its gonna need a complete tune up. I have to order a starter. Thats no good. Also, the previous owner said he thought the timing chain was bad and he would turn the distributor when he would start it. So I'll have to check the chain and set the timing. Anyway, if it runs ok, I'd like to slowly fix it up and drive it in the nice weather. It needs lots of interior work. The body has some rot - driver's side rear behind the wheel, and driver's side rocker. All the door/window seals are shot. Suspension is surprisingly good, no rot. Money is tight, so I'm gonna take my time and have fun with it.

the original factory timing gears had a nylon covering to run quiet. Needless to say over time the nylon would break off and the chain would become sloppy. Replacement gears with a new chain are all metal.
