74 Firebird Seatbelt Intallation (Need Help)

Hi everyone,I'm having trouble with new seatbelts I had made (Aussie Standards) and mounting them to the 1/4 pillar. They were removed a few years ago and I'm going on memory but they will only pull out and retract when they are dead flat, whereas mine seem to sit on a 45 degree angle. I cannot find any photos or illustrations on them, so any help or advice will be greatly appreciated..

shouldn't you be contacting the company that made these belts for you asking them why they will not work correctly in the mounting position found in your car? On this side of the big pond there are many vendors who carry the correct replacement belts for your car but I assume import duties are high.

Thanks for replying melsg5. I contacted the company last week and they are adamant all seatbelts only work on a 90 or 180 degree angle and they do not know why they designed mine for a 45 degree. After showing him photos of my setup he was still confused and me leaving with no answer. This company is 1 of only 3 in West Australia that are accredited for seat belt designs/ manufacture.
