76 Trans Am

I bought a 76 Trans Am yesterday and checking through the numbers I think I got a good deal.
It's an original 455 with a 4 speed.
I got a 455 with it and have to check the numbers but it does a have Borg Warner T-10 4 speed.
It will need the floor pans replaced.
I paid $4000.00 for it, is that a good deal.

It's almost too good to be true, check all the VIN numbers and engine code very carefully!

The VIN starts W287W6N.
It has the Borg Warner. a 12 bolt posi.
A/C, Cruise, electric windows.
Need a lot of work.
Figures the engine is a 485428 out of a 73.

the VIN should start as 2W87W6N but more importantly do the last 6 digits match the engine block pad number along with the engine pad code showing it's a 455 ?
