81 firebird steering wheel hub...

...removal? I'm trying to install a new steering wheel on my 81 firebird. I got the wheel off, but just behind the is a hub that I cant seem to pull off. I've put pullers on it and it just wont budge. any help is appreciated. thank you

If the wheel is off you might be trying to get the lock plate which has a snap ring that holds the plate to the shaft you need a plate depresser to get it down below the lock plate so you can remove the snapring with a pair of pliars and a screwdriver ..
