Finally getting around to restoring my 1985 Fiero GT. Been sitting in my barn for 15 years. Most of the suspension rubbers have dry rotted.

Does anyone know if I can swap out the front suspension with one from a newer/different model car? Something I can pick up from a junk yard? I would like to avoid any cut and weld modifications. Looking to bolt on.

Thanks in advance.

why dont you just replace the bushings, try www.fierostore.com

Thank you very much for the reply.
I was hoping to swap out with a front end suspension with one that is more stable and responsive than the Fiero's. Also one that would readily have parts available. I was never too thrilled with the overall handling and performance of the Fiero's stock suspension and steering.

I think I will try and rebuild the existing suspension.

All Fieros up to 1987 had the Chevy Chevette type suspension, 1988 was the best year for Fiero suspension. ( redsigned )
