Okay all. I have replaced master and slave to the clutch I have used well over 24 oz of brake fluid to bleed the system.

If I have the car in gear and press the clutch to start it, it will start. But then within a few seconds the car starts going forward and then stalls because I have my foot on the brake.

There are no leaks anywhere under the car I can see. I was told the clutch was replaced and I have papers that show that.

The car has had maybe 700 miles put on it since then. It is a stage one clutch.

I understand that there was a Alumium pedal but mine looks to be replaced with a steel one.

Please help I am lost at what to do next other then rip out the motor and I don't have the room for that right now!

Also noticed that the clutch pedal is not hitting the cut out switch for the cruise control

Thanks

if you start the car in neutral and then attempt to gently shift into a gear, do the syncrhos grind?
Assuming the master and slave are new, they still could be defective.
Any idea of the country of manufacture of the two parts?
Is there a section of rubber hose anywhere after the master? If there is clamp it shut with a vice grip or similar tool just dont use too much pressure. Step on the clutch pedal, it should be rock hard and maintain pressure on it for one minute to see if the pedal drops. If it does drop I suspect a bad master.

If the car is in gear and I start it with the clutch fully pressed something is going on where the clutch starts to release and the pedal is still to the floor.

I have replaced Slave and master and used over 16 oz of fluid and the only thing I can come up with is the pedal is bent.

Because it will not touch the switch for the cruise control

I really doubt there was a factory installed cruise control on a manual transmission in 1985 so jumping to the conclusion that the pedal is bent is umwarranted.
I already stated you could have a defective new part and gave you a way to rule out the master as an issue.

Melsg5 I have the original window sticker to the car. That was an option. The pedal does not touch that cruise control switch. Also I am not new to Fiero's

the switch cannt be adjusted and you have no other clutch pedal to compare it to?
Did you test the new clutch master using the method I suggested?

I looked at the clutch hydraulic line from the Fiero Store and cannt tell from the diagram if there is a section of rubber hose on either end.
Is there any rubber hose in the line?
Another thought I had was is it possilbe to install the clutch throwout bearing backwards?
Did you ask the prior owner if they had any issues after the clutch was replaced?
I assume there was nothing wrong when you bought it otherwise you wouldnt have been able to drive it?
Watch these videos and pay attention to the comments such as a cracked clutch fork.

I have figured out what it is! The Clutch pedal is bend! I ordered a new one put it in and all issues stopped! Thanks
