88 to 87 5.0 5.7 swap

I swapped my 5.0 to my 5.7 5.0 was in my 87 5.7 was in 88. Both ran perfect. 5.o was manual 5.7 was auto. Did a complete swap. 5.7 fires right up. But when I put a load on it it boggs out spits and sputters. Tried swapping computters. When I did that the car wont fire up. I haven't switched the mass air . Its a total different set up. So b4 I do that I want to see if theres anything else that I could check or do. I Put new plugs , cap, and rotor. All plug wires correct. Any ideas thanks

If you do a swap including computers everything has to be swapped including the intake system. Does the car have a security light on the dash that is illuminated since the swap, not sure what year that started?

It's gotta be the intake then. Looks like im going to have to figure out a good set up. Any ideas?

It seems like the radiator system sits back different so there's not as much room for the air intake system.

Are you using the 5.7 injectors? they should work with the 5.0 computer. The 350 injectors are 22 lbs an hour vs 19 for the 5.0.
