1994 trans am lt1 6 speed. i want to go to a strong bigger differental that stock 5 1/4" bs that it came with aint cuttin it whats easy to throw up there 10, 12 bolt, 9" ?????????????????????????????
Your 7.5" rear end is a 10 bolt. Most of the major aftermarket companys make a bolt in 9" or 12 bolt. Either of these will hold up to almost anything you can throw at them. the 9" will be a little less expensive. Check with Moser, Strange, or others. Have you broken yours yet?
Try a PowerTrax locker in the stock rear. The 7.5" 10 bolt can handle plenty of power. Replace the axles with some good aftermarket ones and get a girdle rearend cover for it. With those upgrades it will handle 450+ hp. Enough to go low 12's high 11's. I have seen guys running 10's with those rears.
