'95 Grand Am 3.1L, overheats after 15min E fans will not turn on when plugged in. Unplugged from cts they run all the time (default) no heat in drivers compartment, car has had the water pump replaced 2 years ago and new coolant temp sensor. I was leaning towards a t-stat but now that it lost heat I am stumped. I really don't want to just throw parts at it. Any ideas of thoughts? thanks, -JustinRead more at http://www.pontiacforum.com/pontiac/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=9&kcplink=1

could be air in the system which would mean a leak somewhere. you could try a t stat. over heating could be a head gasket or intakes. if the fans dont come on when plugged in and car over heats i would look into the fans a little more
