95 grand prix 3.1, runs rough, HELP!!!! please

hello everyone, its my first time here/posting. so take it easy on me,lol

ok just got a 95 grand prix with the 3.1 v6, but it has problems, it does run i been driving it uhm alot of times its hard to start, always starts but turns over longer than it should, and when i push gas padel hard it boggs out and is way under powered while driving, (no-power) but if i drive like an old lady on a sunday drive it seems to be decent/drivable. but not always!!!!! idles ok then sometimes it idles like crap

any ideas??? i was thinking egr related, i took it off to inspect and the passage from egr to intake/(in the actual intake) was plugged bad, i had to chisel it open it was rock hard,, anyway it never seemed to help that much, a little though. i just cleaned not tested. so it could be egr?

im sure someone here has had or seen this issue (hopefully)

Fuel press. reg ?
Plugged cat. converter ?
Mass Air Flow (MAF) ?
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) ?
Idle Air Control (IAC) ?
Vacuum leak ?

Since you just bought it can I assume you have no idea when it last had a tuneup? How many miles on the car? Is the check engine light on? Did you check the air filter to see if it needs replacement? Replace the fuel filter assuming you dont know when it was last done. If it has more than 100k miles replace the plugs and check the plug wires with an ohmmeter to see if they need replacement. After these basics are done and you still have a problem you can go through the list of other items you have listed.

ok it has had a tuneup recent as it has new plugs,wires and a new air filter in it, and they all still look new not dirty or nothing.

im gonna go pickup a fuel filter in the next few hrs and try that, it very well may be problem

ohh and yes the service light has come on a few times, i havn't been able to pull codes off it yet, but im still gonna go get the fuel filter as it acts like its starving for fuel when i press gas with load on, drive ect,

ok put on new fuel filter, it helped with the hard start thats it!!!

still has no power,,, i started it up had someone rev it up and very little comes out the exaust at rear, so it just might be a plugged cat or muffler/s
maybe ill go out and cut the cat off and see?????

I bought a 92 Grand Prix in September that had much the same issue. The lady I got it from was the original owner, She had put almost 1200 in it because it shut off on her a while back and the mechanic she had was the type to throw parts at it and hope something sticks. After fiddling with it for a few days and staying away from the injectors since he had " cleaned" them. I took a connector off an old harness and put juice to one injector at a time with a 9 volt battery, this led to discovering that number 6 was dead. Car would start and idle fine until it warmed up then it would die, if you touched the gas at all it would die also. went to the scrapyard and got 6 injectors,brought them home and bench cleaned them and the 5 known good ones, installed new o-rings and bam!!!! runs like a top. One thing I have discovered though is that my car can not stand 87 octane, it hucks n bucks and stumbles if I use it. I now go 3 fillups with 89 and a bottle of Lucas on the second one, and a fill up with premium as a fourth. I fully recommend that you check out the injectors, the o-rings are cheap and I ran 3 tanks with Lucas and changed the fuel filter. The injectors are under the intake so getting a stethoscope or screwdriver in there to check them is nearly impossible.
