95 pontiac grand am overheating?

My 95 pontiac grand am is overheating. we have had the thermostat replaced. the water pump replaced. and one of the hoses replaced. there is no crack in the radiator. but we still loose coolant and the car overheats only going about a mile. anyone have any suggestions. also the fan does not always kick on

Check the oil and if it is a chocolate milk colour, then you may have a head gasket problem.You could turn the car on and watch for leaking coolant(make sure it in park). And spray a soapy water combination around the head to check for leaking air. That is what I would try.
