96 Pontiac sunfire Dies out after driving for 30 min?

Car stalls after long time driving. Usually when it comes to a stop. The engine runs fine but when i shift from park to drive it dies. I wait couple of seconds and it will take off probably from third or second gear. The car has automatic transmission if this is of any help. Please respond

Wild guess, but GMs have a tendency to clog the catalytic converter. Also the EGR valve might get stuck at odd times, but you don't notice that till the motor slows.

check your tranny fluid level,if that is ok it may b your torque converter switch,which will cost minimim 600.00 dollars

it might be the sensor that works the torque converter clutch.
