My girl's Sunfire won't start at all. I have read in the haynes manuals you turn the key to the on position to remove the cylinder. Well my problem is that I cannot move the key to any position. The car is stuck. The shifter will not budge, I have tried rocking the steering wheel, spraying wd40 in the cylinder to no avail. Is there another way to get the cylinder to come out? I am in a crunch so please help!!
Thanks guys and gals.

Anyone Know Anything On Here??

Yo Help Me Out Please, I Neeed The Car To Be Back On The Road Asap, If You Have A Fix For This Please Respond.

SUp, hey try and just beat the hell out of it. Thats really the only way I was able to get mine out. I had to replace some other stuff while I was there too. But good luck

Also....

Your best bet would be to just pull the whole steering column and replace it from the junk yard. Just make sure you get the vin of the car that you got it out of so that way you can get a key cut for the cylinder and then order a replacement tumbler for your specific vehicle. Believe me this is much easier than fighting with the cylinder and tumbler in the current steering column.

Cheers.
